Torquil qualified as a lawyer in 1989 after obtaining degrees from the Universities of St Andrews and Aberdeen. He is a founding partner of Penta Capital LLP, a leading mid-market private equity fund manager with offices in Glasgow and London.

After University in Leicester, David started his career at the Bristol Evening Post. He then worked for the BBC for more than 15 years in television, radio news and current affairs.
Qualifying as a vet from Glasgow University, Richard worked in general practice before gaining his PhD and founding Vets Now in 2001. The business now provides dedicated emergency and critical care for about 120,000 pets every year and employs around 1200 permanent staff.
